Pallet Wrapper Installation - New DC
An automotive parts wholesaler moving into a new distribution centre had outgrown hand wrapping. They needed an automatic pallet wrapper set up to run black stretch film.
Standard wrappers use a photo-eye that finds the top of the load by reading reflected light. Black film absorbs that light, so a normal sensor misjudges the load height and wraps inconsistently.
Packline fitted a black-film photocell — a sensor tuned to detect dark and black-wrapped loads — so the machine reads true load height every cycle. We then installed and tested the wrapper on site, set up to their pallets.
The results: A new distribution centre now wrapping every pallet consistently with the load containment and clean finish their freight demands.
