Dura-Grip PET Strapping 13-19mm
Need Help ?
Dura-Grip PET (polyester) strapping is Packline's premium polyester strapping range, engineered for Australian businesses that need a high-strength, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to steel strapping. Available in 12mm, 16mm, and 19mm widths in both embossed and smooth surface finishes, Dura-Grip PET strapping suits a wide range of industrial, logistics, and heavy-load applications.
Why Choose PET Strapping Over Steel or PP?
PET strapping sits in a class of its own. It's significantly stronger than polypropylene (PP) strapping, making it suitable for heavier, denser loads. Compared to steel strapping, PET is lighter, safer to handle (no sharp edges), rust-proof, and more forgiving on load surfaces. Its superior elongation and recovery properties mean the strap absorbs shocks in transit and returns to tension — something steel cannot do.
Embossed vs Smooth — Which Should You Choose?
- Embossed PET strapping — the surface texture provides better grip when used with friction-weld (heat seal) battery tools or auto-strapping machines. The most commonly specified type for machine and battery tool use.
- Smooth PET strapping — used primarily with open seals/buckles and hand tensioners. The smooth surface is preferred in certain manual strapping configurations.
